Certification with OS and Membership in this excellent Organization reflects Mary's Expertise in Puppy Socialization and Puppy Training and reflects SMART DOGS' continued committment to bringing you only the best information for your Canine Companions. The OS mission is in keeping with SMART DOGS' and that is to help educate Dog Owners and the Community about the importance of Early Puppy Development in order to help Prevent Behavior Problems and help raise Safe, Happy Dogs.

Mary is also the first and only trainer in Arkansas approved for TDF status by the humane dog training group Truly Dog-Friendly (TDF).

Transition and Expansion. SMART DOGS' kicked off 2011 with the January opening of our new SMART DOGS Training Center. We are pleased to now offer you and your dogs our Professional Dog Training Services in the form of Group Classes, Workshops and Seminars. Yes, we still offer our Private Sessions for behavioral issues and special assistance in dog training, now held on-site at our Training Center.

We have new Team Members - Amalie Holland and Stacy Smith! We're delighted these talented and knowledgeable SMART DOGS students are now "Trainers-In-Training" as part of the SMART DOGS' Team working as Class Assistants. Their pics and bios coming soon.

SMART DOGS' Training Center is the only facility in the Ft Smith / Van Buren area to SPECIALIZE in DOG TRAINING and BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION. If you are searching for effective and dog-friendly Professional Dog Training Services, you've come to the right place! If you need assistance with grooming or boarding, we are happy to refer you to one of our excellent and dog-friendly Colleagues who specializes in these services.

The first to bring "real" Clicker Training to the Ft Smith/Van Buren area, SMART DOGS is also the first Clicker Training Center in the Arkansas River Valley region.

We have the Knowledge and the Hands-On, Dog-Training Experience to help you with your Dog.

Whether your Dog is a Purebreed or Mixed Breed, a Puppy, an Adolescent, an Adult, or a Senior, we can assist you with his training. Whether your Dog needs help with Basic Manners, Walking Nicely on Leash, House-Training, or preparing for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test, the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test, a Therapy Dog test, or for an AKC Rally O' or Obedience Competition, we can Help You with Your Training Goals.

Perhaps your Dog is sometimes a Fiesty Fido, a Reactive Rover, or a Cautious Canine. We can help with that, too - Mary has 13 years of experience in the Modification of Aggressive and/or Shy Behavior.

SMART DOGS promotes Responsible Dog Ownership and uses Force-Free, Dog-Friendly, Positive Reinforcement-based methods with an emphasis on real Clicker Training.

SMART DOGS is located in the beautiful Arkansas River Valley in Van Buren, Arkansas, and we are proud to serve the
Residents of Van Buren, Fort Smith, Alma, Greenwood, Ozark, and other surrounding Communities in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

We're honored to have students from Batesville, Booneville, Clarksville, Little Rock AR, Talequah, Vian, Wister and Wilburton OK, and appreciate them making the commute in order to learn dog-friendly methods and to enjoy our Training Center!
